San Juan Island in August!

Come visit us in August, the crown jewel of vacationing on San Juan Island, the grand finale of the summer, and the month of the famous San Juan County Fair. This four-day, adorable small town affair features live musical performances by local musicians, agricultural and livestock expos, live band karaoke, a fun fashion show, local art exhibits, food booths and fair rides.

Start off the month watching the Classic Sailboat Race which dots the water with gorgeous boats. Or, if classic cars are more your thing, come at the end of the month for the Concours d'Elegance at the San Juan Vineyard, sponsored by our local Rotary Club.  Enjoy classic and unique cars, BBQ and wine in a beautiful country setting.

Of course, all summer long, there’s nothing like getting out on the water.  Rent a kayak or hop aboard a whale-watching tour and discover all the local inhabitants, everything from Orca whales to seals, otters & porpoises!
