March on San Juan Island
Join us as San Juan Island awakes from its Winter slumber. Do the same and get outside! March on the isle promises every weather imaginable, sometimes all in one day! So bring your layers and sunscreen, shorts and winter coat and explore the beaches and mountains as the wildflowers emerge and the Orcas return. We here at the Earthbox Inn & Spa in cute Friday Harbor offer amazing Spring Specials making a March San Juan Island getaway a steal.
Favorite Spring Beach Hike
South Beach in American Camp National Historical Park, is San Juan Island’s longest driftwood beach. The sun sets dramatically over the snow covered Olympics while the moon rises over Mt Finlayson’s crooked wolf trees. South Beach is home to raptors and seabirds, foxes, bunnies, otters, harbor seals, sea lions and the precious Island Marple butterfly, which has reappeared after 100 years! Tread lightly at this awe-inspiring place and keep at least 75 feet away from critters and their babies.

Pool & Spa Day
We are proud to be the only Friday Harbor hotel with an indoor heated pool, sauna, jacuzzi and exercise room. Make a day of it and soak and swim before getting pampered with a New Moon facial or an Open Sky massage, which incorporates hot stones, exclusive body oils and aromatherapy. Expect nothing less than total bliss.

Favorite Wildflower Hike
Explore English Camp National Historical Park, its formal English garden, barracks and cemeteries before hiking Young Hill, a steep 1.5 miles through Garry oak savannas and old growth Douglas Fir forest dotted with wildflowers. Be rewarded by the most astonishing views of all the other islands from the top.

Dinner and a Show in Friday Harbor
Walk to your favorite farm-to-table restaurant on the waterfront before watching a movie at the historic Palace Theater or a national music act at the acclaimed San Juan Community Theatre. Check out the poetry gardens by the theatre and on the waterfront and get a night cap at Cease and Desist before meandering back to your comfy hotel.

Daffodil Extravaganza at the Sculpture Park
The lovely folks at the inspiring, 20-acre San Juan Sculpture Park planted not only 9,000 Daffodils with thousands of Irises to follow to ring in Spring, but also hold free bird walks every first Wednesday of the month at 8:00am. The park offers interactive and hands-on art experiences, whimsical and thought inspiring sculptures and installations and is open year-round from dawn to dusk. Entry is free, donations are appreciated and well-behaved pups are welcome.

Friday Harbor Art Walk
Every first Friday of the month local galleries and shops will stay open late for an Art Walk through completely walkable Friday Harbor. If you miss it, worry not. With nine galleries and three museums and tons of cute local boutiques offering handcrafted souvenirs, it’s an Art Walk any day of the week in Friday Harbor.
